Join JCHS for the 20th anniversary Barn Tour! This year's theme is the Amish Barns of Johnson County. Tour participants will visit the farms of Amish families along the southern borders of Johnson County, learning about the history of the farms and barns. Stops will also be made at community stores. irving b. weber award
Established in 1992, the Irving B. Weber award honors individuals or groups who have contributed to the research, writing, interpretation or preservation of Johnson County History. The award was named in honor of Irving Weber, Iowa City's late official historian. For more information on the award, including how to make a nomination please click here. Nominations must be received by Friday, September 17, 2010.
